Just a quick post to update readers of what’s been goin’ on in my world!
Purchased a Samsung Mini Smartphone
Still learning how to use; its very different than using a computer where the screen allows you a much bigger display area. And navigating is also very different. Still customizing with various apps available, and trying to make it work a little bit more like my computer.
Support Committee Meeting Today
We’re delving into the many facets of our resource handbook, and have a long way to go before we merge, update, and delete the multitude of companies involved or associated with Autism Society of South Central Wisconsin.
Still learning how our Board works
Our new President, Julie Sheldon, has a lot on her plate to learn about, but I think she is doing a great job! Somehow she manages to find time to address various topics that are appropriate for Autism Spectrum disorders.
I found a Facebook Post about a National Autism Committee in Washington, and learned that sometimes you have to bite your tongue when you hear of a problem. I will let you do your own research on IACC if you like. I will not allow my comments to sway you either way; you make up your own mind.
Future Events
With Summer comes many visits to festivals and cities we have yet to see, and I hope you will take the time to review some by going to Adventures In Travel. Laurie does have some backlog, so please be patient while she catches up on our most recent adventures: Lake Mills, Fitchburg, Stoughton, and Aztalan Historical Society.
Laurie seems to be learning her Samsung Smartphone faster than me! We both took a class from US Cellular last Saturday, and we both had many questions answered in our 30 minute appointment. The takeaway I learned is Google search is your friend, even to the point of searching for how to use a smartphone!
Wednesday is our Ausome Adults Meeting at the Goodman Community Center in Madison WI. I hope to address more financial topics, bring a few books to share with the group, and address any questions they might have. I hope to bring in a visitor who can help with the topics we discuss. Dane County Timebank was mentioned in the last meeting.
I welcome any comments, questions, and concerns you may have. Anything mentioned in this post is fair game if you have a question. Thanks for reading, and have a great week!
