Clock Ticking On Plan For Disability Savings Accounts – Disability Scoop.
Most readers know that I have been privileged to be a board member for Autism Society of South Central Wisconsin. Given that this legislation might be voted on soon, my personal opinion is that you will reach out to your representatives and urge them to pass this bill if you have a disability. Then at least you will have the tools with which to build an investment so that you can achieve a modicum of financial stability and not have to worry about loosing Social Security or Medicare.
The ABLE Act is quite comprehensive, and if passed, will be available from many, if not all, banks and credit unions. What we don’t know is how soon this will be rolled out by banks. It may take some before we know how this account will work. Click the link above for more details.
