Living Well Wednesday: February Vaccine Update

Join us for our Living Well Wednesdays EVERY Wednesday at 11 on Zoom and Facebook LIVE!

This Living Well Wednesday, February 24th at 11 am, we will share updated information about the COVID-19 vaccine and who is eligible to get the vaccine. We will be joined by Marcia Stickel, a retired nurse working as a member on the State Medical Disaster Committee, who will share additional information about receiving the vaccine and how to continue to keep yourself safe until it is your turn to get the vaccine. Mitch Hagopian, an attorney from Disability Rights Wisconsin, will join us to talk about his work on the vaccine subcommittee and any new developments on when people with disabilities and their caregivers might be eligible to receive the vaccine. We will also be joined by self-advocates who have received the vaccine to hear from them about their experience signing up for and getting the vaccine.

Living Well has collaborated with DHS to provide plain language fact sheets on when people are eligible for the vaccine and frequently asked questions about the vaccine. The fact sheets are also available in Spanish and Hmong. All of our vaccine resources are available at: https://wi-bpdd.org/index.php/vaccine-information/

About akutil86

Diagnosed with Aspergers at 34, this blog chronicles some of the life events I've gone through, and how I hope to help others on the Autism Spectrum. Posts that are personal opinions will be moving to another Wordpress site by the end of the year; for those looking for help with autism, I hope you will continue to visit and spread the word about the articles that most of the time are links to something I read. Please let me know what challenges you are facing, and I will do my best to address them. Thanks for reading my blog!
